On June 26, 2014, the Vietnamese labor rights activist Do Thi Minh Hanh was released from the Thanh Xuan Prison in Hanoi. The police of her hometown collected her at the prison and brought her home by car. After a journey of two days over 1,700 km she arrived home on June 28, 2014. She was very exhausted but happy.
Since March 2014 VETO! has advocated for her freedom. According to VETO! information she was amnestied by the President of State and released unconditionally.
